Who is your Daddy and what does he do?
My Dad had a great body shop in Fla. I grew up in it since '70 when he opened the doors. I got my love for automobiles from him. I learned to pay attn to details and do the best prep work possible for a terrific outcome. He's Gone now, he would have loved seeing me pinstripe. I bet he is telling Johnny Cash a big fish tale. He always supported my any of my work. I miss him~

Inspiration is everywhere indeed, working in the forest all day sure inspires me :) Shout at me when you have made anything inspired by the Norwegian rose painting style.

I preffer to work upright myself. I've been signpainting for 25 years and alwys found it easier to work that way. I spent 3 years in a billboard shop and of course everything was upright. Got real fast from working there. I think I will take one of my drafting tables and kick it upright and run a roll of paper from in behind with some clamps like you have. That way I can sketch out my design that waybetter as well. I'll have to get my daughters digital camera and take some pics to post. (she's got the $1000 camera, and don't even have a cheap $100 one. go figure) Yeah...keep it wet. Love that tag. haha!

Was just checkin out some f your practice stuff. Looks like you're really coming long. I too have been practicing nightly, some good nights , some not so good. I see you have an easle setup and are using paper. Is this a heavy stock paper or regular poster paper? I've been using a couple of old storm windows with designs taped on the back side to follow then just wash it away for the next attempt. Keep on scrolling dude.
Danno out!

Oh yeah Zeke does some sick work. I met him at the Syracuse Nationals at Artie Party Panel Jam. Great guy. I've got some Kafks and I never got the hold of them. I guess its all practice. I don't think they have seen paint in over three years. Seem a little too stiff. Were you the short dark haired lady at Arties Party this year. I met someone but can't remember her name. To be honest, not really sure I said hi to her.

Hey, Carlene. I just checked out your work on pinheadlounge. great scrolls. You relied to my Bobbo question last week. Are you using the Bobbo to do the scroll work? I can't get over how nice and clean they look. I've got the wizard dvd for scrolling. I practiced a few times and got frustrated and said screw it. this past summer I had a request for scrolls and had to tell the guy i couldn't do them. Its one thing i wanted to try and grasp this winter. I bought a Jenson swirly-Q and that thing was a pain. I got better scrolls out of a lettering quill but was still irritated. thanks for reading and helping.

Hi everybody! On the first of November 2009 Roderick & Henry will be striping at the verry first convention from Rockabella's Modelling Agency in ''The Avenue'' in Breda, Holland. They have been slingin' paint for a couple of months now, and think they're ready to go live!

Practice practice practice.........

Well, who haven`t heard these words before...No secrets are revealed without years of practice.
I`ve just startet my journey into pinstriping and I find most difficult, irritating and exciting. I sit for hours just practicing lines and once in a while there comes a straight line and I can smell a bit of hope in the darkness.
In the beginning there is always alot of "AHA" and "F#$?%" moments...but never before have I felt this kind of calm and at the same time impatient feeling when studying some… Continue
